FAQs
At Stalart we manufacture and install complete structures.
Our work at Stalart ranges from advising in the earliest phases of the project to guarantee an optimization in the design of the structure, assistance in design and engineering, justification of the structural calculation and endorsement of the same, manufacture, direction and assistance of the project ( project management), assembly and assembly on site.
On the other hand, we are not general contractors of the project, but we can offer the complete service in collaboration with one of our partners in different markets:
Interleva Contract SL (Spain), Habeco (UK), Stalowe Domy (Poland), Kap Eco Homes (Ireland), Toll Brothers, Griffon and L. Hounanian Associate (United States).
At STALART we are an active part of the project from the beginning.
We provide all the manufacturing and assembly drawings of the structure project, as well as the 3D views of the structure.
Each screw and piece of our structures is calculated and reviewed by the engineering team.
Before manufacturing, a verification of the manufacturing plans is carried out to verify that they coincide with the plans justified in the calculation.
If your project is in Spain or Poland, you can directly contact each of the offices that we have in each country.
If you are in another country, contact us at info@stalart.es
Tell us about your project and a member of the team will contact you from the most appropriate location. If you want to become an authorized seller in a country or area, contact us telling us your wish at info@stalart.es
The product supplied by STALART is a quality, durable product with a high reputation in the market for many years.
At STALART we have the insurance guarantees required by the market and regulations. In addition, being aware of the different regulations in different countries, we analyze, justify and guarantee each project according to specific needs.
At STALART, we are experts in cold-formed steel (steel frame), ranging from planning to assembly on site, provided it is in countries within our reach. For those countries in which we do not directly assemble the structure, we have qualified and expert companies in the assembly of cold-formed steel structures. If you are an installer interested in training in the installation of our structures, we are always available to provide training in the assembly of our structures so that you can become a reference installer in your market. Get in touch at info@stalart.es.
The ideal moment is to contact when you have a first basic project, a preliminary project or a simple sketch or idea.
We do not initially need a detailed project to be able to shape the project. We add value in this phase and it is very important for us to be of help in this initial phase, optimizing the idea.
With the idea put in obtaining the best of the results, but looking after the economic interests of the project, we are of great value optimizing the project in the initial phase.
Contenido del acordeónThe industrialized system used in STALART is very versatile, and can be valid for any type of project (residential, single-family, commercial, industrial, hotel).
It is a safe, solid, light and at the same time very resistant system. It allows you to easily apply the layers that provide high energy, acoustic and fire protection efficiency.
It is also an eco-friendly product, made with a high % of recycled material and which is recyclable.
Our system, used in a multitude of residential buildings, single-family homes, hotels and commercial areas, where noise is one of the main concerns, has an exceptional performance.
As it is a layered system, we can reduce the sound up to 50% more, on average, than conventional systems.
The holes for the passage of facilities, it is important.
We design the profiles and manufacture the installation steps in the exact areas, at the precise heights to facilitate the pre-installation of installations. In this way, the pre-installation of electricity and water is child’s play.
There is no specific limitation on heights, shapes or designs.
The structural engineering calculation system defines the share of cold formed steel that must exist in the project (steel framing).
The philosophy of the system is to reduce the total weight of the structure, optimizing the participation of cold-formed steel. For buildings of up to 4 heights, it can be executed entirely in steel frame. It will depend on the maximum lights, elevator shafts, stair areas, etc.
First of all, it must be taken into account that the structures we make are made of cold-formed steel and that it is a non-combustible material.
In addition, the protection is carried out by covering the structures with the layers of materials necessary to achieve in each project, to measure, the necessary protection, according to each technical code. This flexibility allows you to design accurately and ensure compliance with building codes.
For example, in Spain to comply with a resistance R60 in a residential project, Ce: 1000 J / kg · k would be sufficient, * this parameter is generally met with all plasterboards; λ = 0.20 W / m · k * this parameter does not seem significant; Density> 800kg / m3
The speed of both issues depends on the volume.
However, on average, we can establish a productive capacity of 100m2 of housing per day, both in manufacturing and in assembly.
It can be manufactured up to 32 meters of light, in trusses with application to the industrial sector, mainly.
In residential, single-family, hotel, we generally go to spans of up to 6 meters, although this measure depends on the structural calculation as a whole and the result depends on the specific study of each case.
The spans can be increased by increasing the depth of the trusses, in certain applications, up to for example 11 meters.
It is very versatile in design and application, so it does not pose any problem for the execution of a project.
Cold formed steel is the key to our construction system.
It allows to manufacture and assemble structures with a greater bearing capacity, in much less time. Steel is profiled using cold systems.
Unalterable profiles are achieved in their shape, their bearing capacities, flexibility and tension, so their properties are superior to those of hot-formed steel.
In addition, since it is worked in smaller thicknesses and lower masses than steel, it is light as well as resistant and allows working with millimeter precision.
In a cold forming machine, C profiles are manufactured.
These profiles are automated and prepared with their fitting openings of some profiles with others, holes for connecting rivets, holes for passage of facilities, etc. It is carried out sequentially, by panel and in assembly order, optimizing manufacturing, assembly and assembly times.
The profiles are marked for their correct placement. Different types of thicknesses are used, depending on the needs of the project, as well as two types of profile width measurements, 90mm or 140mm.
The result is durable, load-bearing, lightweight profiles, apparent in design and extremely precise.
Cold-formed steel is one of the most durable materials used in construction.
Unlike other materials, it is resistant to corrosion, mold, pests, shrinkage, bending, breakage, moisture, shrinkage or expansion.
They require fewer repairs and last longer than conventional materials. With the correct application, buildings last hundreds of years, with minimal maintenance.
Despite its popularity in Europe for about 20 years, the technology has been around since 1850. In its early years, it was used in projects such as Virginia Baptist Hospital, built in 1925. Official standards appeared in 1945.
Today, the cold-formed steel, steel frame, is a construction material desired for its durability, sustainability and good economic performance.
Its best application are residential buildings of up to 4 heights, hotels, single-family and townhouses.
The use of the steel frame is ideal in medium-sized buildings, in single-family homes, in semi-detached houses, resort-type hotels, reconstruction of catastrophic areas, luxury homes, industrial buildings and offices in industrial buildings.
The buildings built in steel frame have a lot of sustainability and ecofriendly.
Due to their durability, they do not need to be rehabilitated or renewed often, thus reducing the consumption of resources during their life cycle. Cold formed steel can be endlessly recycled. In fact, part of recycled material is used in the manufacture of the material.
Finally, the steel frame facilitates the use of layers that improve the energy efficiency of the building, considerably reducing energy use, saving money on the use of air conditioning systems.
Structures can last a minimum of 200 years.
Yes. Good thermal insulation eliminates thermal bridges and the slim profile occupies a minimal wall cross section, keeping heat in the building.
The calculated wall heat transfer coefficient is k = 0.28 W / m2k.
Of course yes. Prefabricated houses built with wood and metal frames are created in countries with a warmer climate than the Polish climate, but also in countries with comparable weather conditions, as well as in much more difficult conditions.
For example, buildings in the northern states of the US, Canada, the Scandinavian countries, England, South Australia, and New Zealand use this modern technology.
Metal construction is particularly vulnerable to lightning; however, the framing structures are very well grounded and have the same lightning strike potential as conventional buildings or the ground.
In critical areas such as kitchen walls, radiators, special grips and reinforcing steel bars are used.
Elsewhere, you can use plasterboard plugs containing loads of up to 50 kg
